Embracing the art of intentional living as an empty nester

Life often has a way of sweeping us along in its relentless current, leaving us feeling like passive observers rather than active participants. I can relate; that's a significant part of my life story, especially during the early days of my career as a stylist. But what if I told you that you hold the power to shape your reality, to step into each moment with purpose and intention? This post is a heartfelt invitation for all of us to embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment—a journey that leads to showing up fully in every facet of our lives. So, grab your favorite cup of tea, find a cozy spot, and let's delve into the art of intentional living as we navigate the exciting world of empty nesting.

  1. Embracing the Current of Life: Life's current can sometimes feel overwhelming, like a river that sweeps us away. Many of us have experienced this feeling, especially during the early phases of our careers. But remember, we have the ability to steer our course and embrace the journey with purpose.

  2. The Power of Intention: Intentional living is about taking control of your life narrative. It's the belief that every moment, no matter how ordinary, can be infused with meaning and purpose. It's about showing up fully in each experience that you have and making conscious choices that align with your values and aspirations. Being alright in your lane in life and owning it.

3. Your Journey of Self-Discovery: Now that your nest is empty, it's an opportune moment to reconnect with yourself. Rediscover the passions, dreams, and hobbies that may have taken a backseat while you were busy nurturing your family. This phase can be a beautiful opportunity for self-discovery and growth.

4. Nurturing Empowerment: Empowerment isn't just a buzzword; it's a way of life. As empty-nest moms, we have the chance to empower ourselves and, in turn, inspire our loved ones. By living intentionally, we set a powerful example for our children, showing them the value of purposeful living. Showing them our confidence in them as well as letting them know that we are alright as well.

5. Savoring the Journey: Life is a collection of moments, and each one is precious. I remember praying and wondering Intentional living encourages us to savor these moments, whether big or small. It's about relishing the joy of a quiet morning with a cup of tea, finding beauty in everyday routines, and cherishing the milestones along the way.

Our journey is far from over—it's just taking a new and exciting turn! I’m excited for every moment that comes!
